"We have so many injuries because we keep hold of the ball more than other teams and this exposes the team to more knocks from opponents. It is also because we have a lot of small-sized players, and the fact we take part in so many competitions increases risk of injury."
Interesting comments from Arsenal Scout and ex Arsenal defender Gilles Grimandi, rings true to me...
Actually we have a top class medical staff and some of the fittest players in the premier league who cover on average more kilometers per season than most teams. A large number of the injuries are impact injuries, which is just a case of bad luck, add to that the number of players who are just injury prone and the fact that we are most likely to have a perceptive bias, in that we take more notice of our own injuries than other teams. this leaves us with what seems like an above average injury crisis.
who knows!? but it is certainly frustrating!
