A source of funding to enable The Arsenal to compete and even outdo the likes of the world's wealthiest clubs.

At present we are either unable or unwilling to match the wage structures of other big clubs. The nett result is a gradual decline in the quality of players we can attract. This has put a tremendous burden on all concerned with The Arsenal. One just has to look at MR.Wenger and the strain of the recent past is showing -on his face and in his demeanour..

As a club we do not need to torture our most successful manager in such a manner.

Yes the stadium has taken up a lot of funds, and kudos to all involved in its conception.

However a club,no matter how big,can go nowhere with just a stadium. It is the players who ply their trade that will ultimately bring much needed success and finances to the stadium.

WITHOUT WORLD CLASS PLAYERS ONE WINS NOTHING!

It's time the balance sheets were scrutinised and funds were freed to attract and keep players. Why on earth should any sane thinking player play for us at half  of what he could earn elsewhere.

Let us start with RvP and see if my model works.Offer him decent wages on a 5 year contract. Then at the successful completion  of his contract add a loyalty bonus--not a paltry one but one that could be say 1% of the clubs profits  over the five year period. In theory he will then earn much more than if he went to ,say, man city.

Then target 5 more world class players using a similar model and watch the players come to us.

Yes ,other clubs will catch on by which time we should at least be on par or way ahead of the pack.

No need for a bank loan.

No need to be tied down to a single huge shareholder / owner.

The money to be paid is put away annually and interest earned, over well invested to get good returns.

The club does not lose --either money or players.

IT ALSO SENDS A MESSAGE TO  THE BOARD TO TAKE A RISK ON A CLUB THAT BRINGS THEM SO MUCH IN PROFITS.

IT IS JUST A TINY WAY TO GIVE BACK TO THE PLEBS WHOSE BUMS  FILL THE SEATS.
